Why listen to us?

What do chalet hosts know about food hygiene? Well quite a lot actually. As a chalet host it is your responsibility to know and apply all the principles and practices of good food hygiene standards as you are preparing and cooking meals for your guests day in day out, throughout the whole season.

Many companies require chalet hosts to complete a Level 2 Food Hygiene course as a pre-requisite for the job. As we continue to do this role ourselves we have had to refresh our own qualifications over the years to make sure our knowledge and understand is up to date.

When we aren't working as chalet hosts we run our own mobile wood-fired pizza business, catering for up to 200 customers an evening throughout the summer. Running this business has required us to ensure the highest of standards of food safety are implemented and that we meet all the legal standards of food hygiene practices.
